If you read my previous two posts, you will know that we have been slowly getting the house decorated for Christmas. I love taking my time with the decorations; it helps it to not feel overwhelming!
I’m really gravitating towards more neutral pieces this year, so I am going to share a few ways I’ve incorporated neutral decor into my home.
Coffee Table Decor

I kept a lot of my normal decor pieces out but just added little Christmas touches to give it a festive feel. I used a gold satin ribbon and tied around my candle snuffer, added a gold deer, and then filled my long wood tray with pine cones and bottle brush trees. (Actually, I let my four year old help me with that!)

The red berries in the bowl are actually leftover pieces from some stems that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I try to use everything that I purchase, so this was a good use for them.
Christmas Bowl Filler
I really enjoyed coming up with a bowl filler for fall (you can read about that here if you missed it), so I was excited to put something together for Christmas.

At first I was going to spray paint these pine cones gold, but then I decided I wanted more of a neutral look. So I went with regular pine cones and rusty bells. You could easily make this less neutral by using gold pine cones and bright gold bells.

I’ll be sure to share the materials I used, and link a few similar items in case you want to make your own. These are great on an accent table, the coffee table, or even on a console table in the entryway.
